Set in the very heart of the City and just opposite Guildhall, Wax Chandlers Hall is rich with history, brimming with character and recognised across the capital as one of the finest venues in London. It is the historic home of the City’s ancient and reputable Wax Chandler’s Company, which was once upon a time based on the beeswax trade.
The Company has owned the site since 1501 and during that time, it has now become a memorable option for corporate conferences and executive hospitality in its various function spaces. Having lost previous versions of the Hall to the Great Fire of 1666, town planning and unrepairable changes, this current brick and granite styled building is now the sixth design. Even recently, its interior has been thoughtfully refurbished to ensure its guests enjoy a selection of spectacular event spaces in the Capital of London.
The Hall itself has capacity for up to 68 during a seat-down dinner, or up to 100 for a standing reception. There are also a number of smaller rooms for more intimate events where you want to invite just your closest friends and family. Location-wise, the very prestigious Wax Chandler’s Hall is just a few minutes walk from the tube stations at St Paul’s and Bank. There are three stunning event spaces available to hire across two floors, known as the Livery Hall, the Court Room and the Parlour – all of which can be hired separately if necessary. The rooms are filled with light and are effortlessly elegant, offering a slice of history that is guaranteed to fascinate every visitor who walks through its doors.
